Seymour airport hosting ride day Saturday for museum fundraiser

Freeman Army Airfield Museum in Seymour will be holding its annual Airplane Ride Day on Saturday.

Airplane and military vehicles will be on display, the museum will be open for free tours and food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Participants will be able to take a ride in an airplane and see Seymour from the skies for a $30 donation. for an additional fee, you will also have an opportunity to ride in a 500hp biplane courtesy of Robinson Aerobatics.

All proceeds will benefit the museum which is at 1035 A Avenue in Seymour.

The Airplane Ride Day will be from 9 to 4 Saturday and it is dependent on the weather. No children under the age of 5 and no one weighing more than 250 pounds will be allowed to ride for safety reasons. Riders must sign a liability waiver before riding.
