Seymour home search uncovers five pounds of meth

A police search of a residence Tuesday morning recovered more than five pounds of methamphetamine in Seymour.

According to the Seymour Police Department, a search warrant was served at a home in the 700 block of Noble Street at about 9:30 a.m. yesterday by Seymour officers, along with Jackson County sheriff’s deputies, the Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Team and the federal DEA. In addition to the meth, the search also uncovered marijuana, THC cartridges and gummies and a handgun.

23-year-oild Xander Ault of Seymour is facing preliminary charges including dealing in and possessing the methamphetamine and marijuana, being a serious violent felon possessing a handgun, maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent.
