State Road 135 closing near Freetown for slide repair work
Crews will be closing State Road 135 in Jackson County starting next week to stabilize a slide near Freetown.
According To INDOT, the work will be taking place on State Road 135 between State Road 58 and Kiper Creek, starting on Wednesday, October 1st and lasting through early November. The work schedule is dependent on the weather. Temporary traffic signals already in the area will be deactivated during the road closure.
The official detour route follows State Road 58 to State Road 258 to State Road 11 to U.S. 50 and then back to State Road 135.
Geostabilization International will be the contractor for the project.
