State Road 3 to see restrictions due to culvert work

Traffic will be tied up on State Road 3 in Greensburg as crews work on a culvert there starting in two weeks.

According to INDOT, contractors are schedule to begin the pipe and culvert replacement project on or after June 1st. The work will be going on between U.S. 421 and the Central Railroad of Indiana railroad crossing located just west of U.S. 421. Single-lanes will be closed and lane shifts will be used on northbound and southbound State Road 3 while the work is going on.

The work is expected to be going on until late July. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.

This project is part of a $2.2 million contract awarded to Calumet Civil Contractors.

INDOT reminds you to slow down, to drive without distractions and to take extra caution to worker safety in and near all work zones.
