State Road 39 bridge work to start in Jackson County

State Road 39 in Jackson County will see traffic restrictions starting Monday as crews work to paint a bridge over the Muscatatuck River.

According to INDOT, the work will be going on between Tampico and the State Road 256 intersection, reducing the highway to one 12-foot lane over the river. Temporary traffic signals will be in place while the work is going on. The work is expected to be completed in early June, but the work schedule is dependent on the weather.

Eagle Painting and Maintenance Company is the contractor for the project.
