United Way to hold annual meeting, update poverty, housing initiatives
The United Way of Bartholomew County will be giving an update on community efforts to fight poverty and homelessness at the groups annual meeting later this month.
The United Way coordinates local efforts to address the root causes of poverty and homelessness. It collaborates with other area nonprofit organizations, government agencies and local businesses to help families achieve stability while working towards long-term self-sufficiency.
Organizers say the annual meeting will celebrate the progress made and recognize the organizations, businesses and community members whose work is driving that impact.
The annual meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29th at The Commons. Lunch will be provided. The event is free and you are invited to attend.
Advanced registration is requested. You can register through the United Way website at uwbarthco.org or here: https://www.classy.org/event/united-way-of-bartholomew-county-annual-meeting/e775341
