College Goal Sunday to help with financial aid applications

Ivy Tech Community College Columbus Campus and IU Columbus are encouraging incoming students who need to fill out their financial aid applications to stop by the Airpark Campus on Central Avenue this weekend for College Goal Sunday.

This free program assists Indiana students and families file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is required for students to be considered for financial aid including grants, scholarships, and student loans. It must be filed  to be eligible for Indiana financial aid. Staff will be on hand to guide students and parents through the process.

College Goal Sunday will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.  in Columbus at IU Columbus on Central Avenue and in Franklin at Ivy Tech Community College on McClain Drive.

Students and their parents or guardians should bring their 2024 completed 1040 tax returns and W-2 forms, plus other income and benefits information from 2024. They will also need Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID, their Federal Student Aid ID, bank and investment records and a list of colleges the student is considering.
