Duke Energy Foundation providing grants to area agencies

Duke Energy Foundation has announced grants to several area not for profit organizations helping Hoosiers with essential needs such as food, mental health and housing.

The foundation is offering grants including:

• $30,000 to South Central Community Action Program to provide micro grants to help with childcare, housing stability and legal fees in Brown, Monroe, Morgan and Owen counties.
• $20,000 to PCS Counseling to expand access to mental health and addiction services for those who are uninsured or underinsured. Locally the service supports residents of Bartholomew, Jackson, and Jennings counties, as well as Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Jefferson, Harrison, Orange and Washington counties.
• $11,000 to Lifetime Resources for transportation programs, to help people maintain their independence and remain active, serving Bartholomew, and Decatur counties locally as well as Jefferson, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties –
• $10,000 to Aging and Community Services of South Central Indiana – Thrive Alliance, to expand its Adult Guardianship Program serving Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties.
