Hope to crown Little Miss and Mr. Firecracker during festivities

A Little Miss and Mr. Firecracker will be crowned for the seventh time during the Old-Fashioned Independence Day festivities coming up in Hope and organizers are looking for nominees.

Area children between 3 and 10 years old are invited to take part. To win votes, decorate cans for donations and place them around town, or solicit donations from friends and family members. Every penny raised counts as one vote.

Registration forms are available at Willow Leaves of Hope, the Yellow Trail Museum and the Hope Branch Library.

Cans must be turned in to the Yellow Trail Museum or to Deckard Tool before Wednesday June 24th. All proceeds benefit the Yellow Trail Museum. The winners will be announced at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, June 26th during the festival on the Hope Town Square. The winners will then then lead the bike, trike and stroller parade around the square.
