Jennings jail moves to new online public portal site

You will be able to check out the inmate roster in the Jennings County Jail as the sheriff’s department moves to a new online system.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Jennings County is the 11th county in the state to move its online jail information to INJail. INJail is the statewide jail management system funded by the Indiana Supreme Courty.

The INJail system is meant to improve communication between agencies, streamline inmate management, enhance record keeping, and help staff work more efficiently. The sheriff’s department says the transition took months of planning, testing, training, and teamwork.
