Person wounded in Saturday Seymour shooting
A person was shot during an incident Saturday in Seymour.
According to the Seymour Police Department, officers were called to the 200 block of South Vine Street Saturday about a person was reportedly shot in the neck. A woman at the scene said her son had been shot and was bleeding. The victim was first taken to Schnedk Medical Center and then to a hospital in Louisville.
Police investigators conducted interviews at the scene and that led to search warrants being issued for a camper, business and a vehicle. Evidence was collected that led to the arrest of 67 year old William D. McIntosh of Seymour on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing and more charges and arrests are possible.
