Red Kettle matching donation campaign extended to this weekend

After last weekend’s extremely bad weather kept many people inside, a local lumber company is extending its matching program for Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign in Bartholomew County.

Bender Lumber Company had offered to match up to $6,000 in donations at local red kettles last weekend and is now extending the offer on Friday and Saturday.

Every dollar dropped into The Salvation Army’s kettles in Bartholomew County will be matched up to $6,000, doubling the impact of every gift.

Captain Amy Tompkins with the Columbus Salvation Army said the campaign took a hit from the cold weather and this extension gives another chance to meet the goal.
