Seymour man found guilty in domestic incident

A jury has found a local man guilty of charges following a domestic violence incident last year.

According to the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office, Kelley E. Henderson of Seymour was found guilty of a felony charge of criminal confinement and a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. That verdict came after a one day jury trial on Tuesday.

The conviction followed an incident on April 30th last year, when deputies were called to a reported domestic incident. The incident was investigated by deputies and Seymour Police.

Prosecutor Lindsey Holden-Kay and Deputy Prosecutor Jordan Lorenzo presented the state’s case Tuesday. The jury deliberated for about an hour and a half before delivering the guilty verdict.

Bartholomew County Superior Court 1 Judge Jim Worton has set a sentencing date for February 3rd.
