Seymour to update public on O’Brien Street plans

The city of Seymour plans to update residents about an improvement project on O’Brien Street.

The city will be holding a public information session Thursday on the project. The city has said previously that the goal is to replace the roadway and add sidewalks. The first phase would be from the roundabout north to village Circle Avenue. The city says the project will improve pedestrian mobility, the roadway condition and drainage and lengthen the lifespan of the roadway.

The original road was constructed in the 1930s and has been overlaid four times since then.

The information session will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the council chambers at Seymour City Hall.
