Troopers’ Bartholomew County enforcement efforts leads to arrests, citations

Indiana State Police conducted a traffic enforcement blitz in Bartholomew County Friday, which led to seven arrests and nearly 30 citations.

According to the Indiana State Police Versailles Post, a small squad of troopers targeted the county to focus on the safe operation of vehicles and criminal interdiction on roadways in the community.

Troopers say that they made five arrests on criminal charges, two on drug-related charges. They also issued 14 citations for speeding, seven for other moving violations, four for driving while suspended and four for seatbelt violations.

Additionally, they issued 60 warnings.

Troopers say that they will continue to perform the targeted enforcement efforts as a way to make communities and roadways safer.
