Two arrested on drug charges after dogs running loose in Seymour

A report of dogs running loose in Seymour led to the arrest of two people on drug related charges over the weekend.

According to the Seymour Police Department, officers were called to the 1000 block of Bennett Street in Seymour Saturday and spoke to the owner of the dogs. But officers noticed the smell of burning marijuana coming from a garage. The officers sought a search warrant for the location and after serving the warrant, uncovered methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

62-year-old Jeffrey Breedlove of Seymour and 43-year-old Joseph Howard of Medora were both arrested on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance as well as for possessing drugs and paraphernalia.
